About our services
We would like to acknowledge, recognize, and honor that not all people who experience PCOS, pregnancy, endometriosis, and other similar conditions identify as women. Kristie Tovar Nutrition aims to create a safe space for the healing and health of all people.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disorder causing a hormonal imbalance. Symptoms of PCOS may include a combination of irregular periods, lack of ovulation, facial hair (or hirsutism), hair loss, acne, weight gain, sleep disturbances, and cysts on the ovaries.
People with PCOS are often told to lose weight or are placed on very restrictive diets. This can create a lot of fear and is unrealistic and unnecessary. When it comes to addressing PCOS there is not a “one-size-fits-all” approach. We will work together to find an individual path designed specifically for you, and support you in maintaining a healthy relationship with food and your body while we address your symptoms of PCOS.
The experience of pregnancy often brings many new physical & emotional experiences. We can support you in gaining understanding of your changing nutrition needs in pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. If you are not pregnant but would like to be, we can guide you in ways to support your fertility through nutrition, never straying from our intuitive eating & body positive approach.
We understand that your body's journey doesn't end after giving birth - our dietitian team can support you in finding a nutrition strategy that supports your health and your lactation goals while navigating the time constraints and stresses of new parenthood.
All of our nutrition counseling services are provided through a weight-inclusive, food-positive lens. We believe that most people are born with a natural ability (intuition) to guide our own eating and enjoy food. Through our work, we aim to help you reconnect with this intuition and feel confident in your relationship with food.
